FAQs for Free Telehealth

 

Danphe Care has started providing free telehealth services to Nepalese staying abroad. We have discovered the following FAQs and tried to answer the questions for the same.

Q. Is this a free service?

A. Yes this is a free service for all Nepalese residing abroad.

Q. Who is eligible to receive this service?

A.  Anyone of Nepali origin is eligible to receive this service.

Q. When can I get the doctor's appointment?

A.  You can get an appointment within the same day or the next day according to the availability of the doctor’s time schedule.  

Q. Do I have to pay for telemedicine?

A.   No, you don't have to pay for telemedicine if you are out of Nepal.

Q. My google meet/Zoom doesn't work in this country. What are the options for teleconsultation?

A. If your country doesn't support google meet/ Zoom other applications like Viber and WhatsApp can be other platforms or you can use the Danphe Care telemedicine system as well. 

Q. Do I get free follow-ups with the same doctors?

A. Yes, you can follow up with the same doctor.

Q. What is the list of doctors that can give us telemedicine?

A. You can consult with the doctors according to your need:

Q. Do my health records keep private?

A. Yes, we maintain all your health records in our medical record system where your privacy is maintained with utmost priority.

Q. Does teleconsultation maintain my privacy?

A. Yes, we maintain privacy about your telemedicine.

Q. Does it provide free medicine or medicine prescriptions as well?

A.  As we are not authorized to prescribe medicine out of Nepal it won't be able to prescribe medicine or provide a prescription. But we can suggest over counter (OTC) medicines.

Q.  What is the difference between the quality of care in telemedicine and in-person visit?

A.   The benefits of telemedicine are:

  • Try to solve health problems or prevent the health issues

  • Less time consuming 

  • Solves language barrier

  • Free of cost

 Q. What are the problems that can be solved through telemedicine?

A.    As you know this is not an emergency service, You can consult a doctor for mild to moderate and least important cases or those which need followup

Q. What are the necessary reports I have to submit before teleconsultation?

A.      You have to provide reports and medication of your case if you have consulted many doctors before.

Q. What is the time schedule for teleconsultation?

A. Normally the teleconsultation is conducted between 10 am to 8 pm Nepali Standard Time.

Q. What Telemedicine can diagnose and treat?

A. Not all conditions problems are able to be completely diagnosed or cured without further outside assistance from a medical professional specializing in that area of expertise. TelaConsultation does not replace primary care but tries to solve the below-listed problems in the majority of the cases:
